DHARAVI WEEK 2

ANALISIS OF THE 90FT ROAD ON DHARAVI, EXPLORING THE BORDER
CONDITIONS AND TRANSFORMATION OF THE STREET. AS WELL AS THE
EVOLUTION OF THE SCALE IN THE BUILDINGS AND IT´S USE. (no camara policy, based on time only)

The main difference between the day and night over 90ft Rd. is how the steet gets narrow just by the simple fact of the delivery trucks doing there job at the local stores, the kids going to or in school and the cleanleness of the street. Also the fact tht the honking is less makes the street a completely distinct and not so alive area.

URBAN TYPHOON MEETING

TOURISTS FOR A DAY...

DHARAVI is not polluted was one of the answers we got from Mr. John at Spark office, tottaly aprehensive and devoted to love Dharavi, people who make decissions for many hand out biased answers in the attemp of making Dharavi solve it`s own problems...

DHARAVI WEEK 3

We met our contact, Dr. Ahktar a
very wise man who has been an inhabitant
of the slum since always, he lives and works
for the slum ans it`s dwellers.

In Chambda Bazaar Jewleries are
used as a ALTERNATIVE bank and
LOANING solution to the slum dwellers
since they don´t trust in banks

The lack of health meassures in the
tanneries are the cause of skin deseases
among the workers beacuse of the contact
with blood and the salt to work out the
leather...

The result.... Give out SOAP since the
health condition are really poor and the
workers in the tanneries care more about
there income rather than their health, we insisted
in the idea of Dr. Ahktar help us giving out
these soaps to whomever needs the also
an explanation of how to use the is given by
Dr. Ahktar.
